Ireland 2005
Carol had taken our mother on a number of trips to the UK and Ireland so we felt that at 82 years old, we should give her one last tour of Ireland and that I should accompany them. The tour was from 8 to 16 September 2005 and I decided to make a video to commemorate the occasion. This was not her last trip, however, as Carol took her on another tour of the UK and Ireland in 2008.
On our last night in Dublin, we went to Jury’s Cabaret for a meal and traditional Irish entertainment. The show was amazing and I took a video of most of it. Unfortunately, the camera battery expired before the end of the show but what I captured provides sufficient memories of the evening.
In Killarney, we went to the Danny Mann pub where Natural Gas was playing. At the time, they had a major local hit with a song called “The Langer”. I managed to find a low quality video of the song on Internet which I have included below.
